Editor of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport Ivan Zazzaroni discussed the title race between Inter and Juventus, as well as possible transfer market moves by the Nerazzurri in January, in an interview with Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb today.

“Juve have something more than all the others, Inter are holding their own. In February we’ll see if there’s a distance or if Conte has managed to limit this technical deficit.”

Zazzaroni then touched on what Inter could do in the January transfer window.

“The market can’t change much. Another striker like Giroud? And what happens to Alexis Sanchez? Esposito would go back to Primavera, but I don’t think the target man is what Conte needs. Would Giroud come to Inter to be the third choice behind Lukaku and Lautaro? I don’t think so.”

The Nerazzurri are reportedly keen on signing unhappy Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud and would like to sign him in January in order to provide backup for Romelu Lukaku.
