Inter Striker Lautaro Martinez Has Returned From International Duty In Full Fitness

Inter striker Lautaro Martinez returned to the Nerazzurri’s training ground at Appiano Gentile yesterday in full fitness, with the international break not affecting his physical condition, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 22-year-old Argentinian striker, who appeared in both of Argentina’s recent friendlies against Brazil and Uruguay, is fully fit and hasn’t suffered any negatives to his physical condition, good news for Inter coach Antonio Conte. The club are now looking ahead to offering him a new contract, with either a higher release clause or without one completely.

Due to the interest of Barcelona, the report continues, Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is considering offering Lautaro a new contract with higher wages and either increasing or removing the current release clause, in order to make him more inaccessible to interested parties. The club plan to meet the player’s entourage in December in order to work on the new deal.
