French side Paris Saint Germain are ready to permanently sign Inter owned striker Mauro Icardi, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews.
The report details how the Parisian side are so impressed by the performances of the 26-year-old Argentine striker that they are ready to enact the buy option attached to his loan deal in January. The club are ready to pay €65 million, €5 million lower than the agreed upon price.
However, the Nerazzurri are keen to accept this as it would give them funds to reinvest in the squad next summer and remove the possibility of Icardi returning to Milan.
Furthermore, the report suggests that PSG will offer Icardi a five-year contract with a salary of either €9 million plus bonuses per season or €12 million plus bonuses per season. There is even a small chance that Icardi could negotiate for a contract even higher, closer to the amount received by Italian midfielder Marco Verratti at €17 million per season.
