Sassuolo coach Roberto De Zerbi spoke to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia yesterday, discussing his former player Stefano Sensi, who has impressed Inter with his strong start to the season.

“There wasn’t much to work on in footballing terms with someone like him, I tried to help him to go with personality to a great team. Many reach this goal but not all become heroes, he is succeeding.”

“I advised him to keep his humility at the level of spirit and desire to improve, but without putting aside his personality and his desire to impose himself.”

Sensi’s incredible start to the season with Inter shocked many across Italy. He scored three goals and provided four assists in his first ten games of the season but suffered a tear in his abductor muscle only 34 minutes into his Derby d’Italia debut back in October, an injury he has still not recovered from.

The Nerazzurri are hoping he will be fit in time for their Champions League clash against Slavia Prague.
