The Italian football federation will elect a vice-president next Monday in order to fill the vacant role, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The list of names proposed for the role include Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello, AC Milan chairman Paolo Scaroni, Atalanta president Antonio Percassi and Udinese vice president Stefano Campoccia, the report details.

The FIGC have until December 2nd to elect a vice-president, a role that has been vacant since the appointment of Gabriele Gravina last year. Furthermore, the report highlights how Mario Cicala will act as the commissioner for Lega Serie A until that date.

The FIGC have come under fire in recent months due to their response to the recent incidents of racism in Italian football. Incidents such as the abuse suffered by Inter striker Romelu Lukaku were closed without punishment, with the FIGC deciding that not enough Cagliari fans were chanting the abuse to justify a punishment.
