Inter have been in contact with Udinese star midfielder Rodrigo De Paul’s agent, discussing a possible move to Milan in the upcoming January transfer window, according to a report from Italian media outlet Gianlucadimarzio.com.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are keen to sign the 25-year-old Argentine midfielder due to his strong performances with the Friulian club as well as his versatility in midfield, perfect for the tactical system of coach Antonio Conte, who is desperate for more midfield options due to a lack of squad depth.

Furthermore, the Nerazzurri are hoping to sign the player for around €35 million, a high fee but understandable considering De Paul’s importance to Udinese. So far this season the 25-year-old Argentine midfielder has made ten appearances for the Friulian club, scoring one goal and providing two assists in that time. He recently signed a contract extension with Udinese that will keep him tied to the club until 2024.
