Other Inter staff were also threatened in the letter sent to the Nerazzurri’s headquarters last week, not only coach Antonio Conte, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Il Giorno.

The report details how athletic trainer Antonio Pintus was also referred to in the letter. The 57-year-old Italian joined Inter in July of this year and has been working hard with coach Antonio Conte. Pintus’ family were also threatened in the letter, the report highlights.

Furthermore, a postmark from the city of Florence was on the envelope, the report adds. This suggests that the letter was sent from the Tuscan city, although the investigators are still not certain. The first investigations have suggested that the intent behind the letter was to draw attention to Conte’s return to Italy and his dominance in the media. The investigators also don’t believe that it was sent by football ultras, but instead from the criminal underworld.
