Former Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder discussed his career and his strongest teammates in an interview with Dutch broadcaster Fox Sports NL today.

“If only I had lived 100% football, I would have been at the level of Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi. But I have no regrets, because I simply didn’t want it. It’s not that I couldn’t do it, I just didn’t feel like it. I preferred to enjoy my career for what it was, both on and off the pitch. I won everything you could win at the club level, so I have no regrets.”

The 35-year-old Dutchman then suggested that Spanish forward Guti was his strongest ever teammate.

“When I started at Real Madrid, he didn’t talk to me for 3 `months because he ended up on the bench because of me, but then we started playing together and we had an incredible understanding. He’s a phenomenal player, probably the best I’ve ever played with.”
