Former Inter defender Antonio Paganin discussed Inter’s upcoming games in both the league and the Champions League in an interview with Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb yesterday.

“They have two close games that can decide a lot. They need to stay focused on the title race and therefore to Juve. Then they will go to play in Prague, which seems easy and instead we suddenly are in the Europa League. You won’t find a simple environment.”

“Inter suffer certain opponents, as they showed in the first leg. At the moment I think that Inter are the only team that can compete for the title against Juve. Napoli, for various reasons, have eliminated themselves, Lazio can’t compete for the top, Roma are having a championship above their expectations. Juve, however, have something more, they’re still going despite their slow start.”

He then touched on coach Antonio Conte’s outburst after the Nerazzurri’s 3-2 loss in the Champions League to Borussia Dortmund last month.

“The outburst was out of place in the moment, it had to be done at home. The squad was questioned. He realized that he was close to Juventus, but he realized that with a little effort he could do something extraordinary, that is to contend for the title and if Juve were to go down a little, do something already this year.”
