Inter midfielder Borja Valero is set to leave the club in January due to his incredibly limited playing time under coach Antonio Conte, according to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com.

The report details how the 34-year-old Spaniard refused a transfer to Fiorentina in the summer as he hoped to earn his spot in Conte’s squad, but so far this season he has only appeared for a single minute for the Nerazzurri.

Furthermore, his contract with Inter expires next June and a renewal isn’t likely.

Therefore, Valero could move to Walter Mazzarri’s Torino in January, the report suggests. The club are searching for an experienced midfielder who can play as either a regista or a mezzala, both roles that the Spaniard has experience in.

The player has also received offers from Qatari side Al Gharafa, as well as clubs in the MLS and Chinese Super League, but he is currently taking time to evaluate all the available options.
