Parma midfielder and Inter target Dejan Kulusevski, on loan from Atalanta, discussed his season so far and the market interest in him in an interview in today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Repubblica.

“I don’t want to change teams in January because I need to grow up here, then we’ll see. I like Italy and the English Premier League, but in the end it’s Atalanta that decides. I don’t think much about the future, otherwise I’d lose my concentration, train badly and play badly. Even if one day I’ll get up there. Atalanta brought me to Italy when I was 15 and a half years old after seeing me in a youth tournament against them. They already knew that I was going to become a strong player, they just had to understand how much.”

He discussed Inter’s interest in him as well as his work with Parma so far this season.

“Conte would like me to go to Inter in January? I faced Juve and Inter, they’re the best. Scudetto for Inter? Soon to say, but why not. But I’m staying here now. I live alone but my parents come at least once a month, I have many friends in Parma, I’m happy, everyone believes in me, it’s a quiet place and as you know you can’t eat badly. D’Aversa is a great coach. With Gasperini I had to understand if I could make a difference in Serie A, not only in the Primavera. I really felt ready, and with Parma I had the confirmation of being ready.”

Finally, Kulusevski discussed his footballing idols.

“For me the strongest in the world is Eden Hazard, with the ball he does everything I would like to do. For at least three years I’ve also preferred him to Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Among young people the number one is Mbappe, a madness of a player, out of the world in all. Physically he’s monstrous, and now he’s also technically monstrous, every shot, a goal. We are the generation that will change football. Respectful, but afraid of nothing. Now the door is open. If Mbappé does those things, we think, then we can try it too. Now we’re breaking everything. Castrovilli from Fiorentina is very strong among the Italians, I didn’t even know he existed, then I played against him and I realised that he’s different. Among the defenders Van Dijk looks like Superman, no one is worth it. In Italy, for sure, Bonucci and Chiellini, with them you can’t pass.”
