Inter full back Federico Dimarco spoke to Italian broadcaster InterTV following the Nerazzurri’s 3-0 win over Torino tonight, where the 22-year-old Italian made his season debut.
“A win and my debut, it was two delightful things. These three points were very important.”
He discussed how important it was to earn playing time for Inter.
“It’s very important to me, I haven’t played in a long time. I’d like to thank my team-mates, who have always helped me. I’m happy. We have to work to continue like this, because only if we continue like this can we fight for the Scudetto.”
The 22-year-old Italian revealed how he feels about coach Antonio Conte’s squad selections.
“The coach has to make his choices according to the game. We have to work to deserve to play.”
Finally, Dimarco touched on whether he is comfortable playing on both the left and right side of the pitch.
“The important thing is that I play. On the right or on the left it’s the same.”
