Inter’s history against Torino shows that the Nerazzurri have always struggled to beat the Granata, failing to win in their last five meetings, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how Inter have beaten Torino 65 times, the teams have drawn 49 times and the Granata have bested the Nerazzurri 36 times, showing that Inter can’t approach this game with anything less than concentration and focus. Juventus, bitter rivals of both teams, have beaten the Granata 71 times, six times more than the Milanese squad.

Furthermore, Inter’s reduced squad means that Antonio Conte will have to hope that the available midfielders are up to the task tonight, the report continues. Stefano Sensi, Kwadwo Asamoah, Roberto Gagliardini, Alexis Sanchez and Matteo Politano are all injured and won’t be able to play tonight, leaving the 50-year-old Italian coach with limited options in both the midfield and the attack.

Despite the importance of next week’s Champions League clash against Slavia Prague, the report adds, Conte can only focus on tonight’s game against the Turin based club, and hope to break the Nerazzurri’s recent poor streak against the side.
