Torino coach Walter Mazzarri must win tonight in order to turn the Granata’s season around as pressure begins to mount in the 58-year-old Italian coach, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Granata have had a slow start to the season, currently sitting in 11th place after 12 games on 14 points, only winning four games out of the 12 so far. The club were predicted by many to be one of the teams fighting for a Europa League spot this season, and so a victory tonight against Inter would give Mazzarri a little breathing room.

Mazzarri touched on his relationship with Inter coach Antonio Conte, with the duo meeting multiple times over their careers.

“Conte has had an extraordinary career, he is a great coach. Our relationship is excellent, there is respect, when we are facing each other we try to achieve the interests of our teams. Yes, it will be a battle.”
