This weekend’s games will prove to be some of the most important of the season, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the games today can set the stage for the rest of the season, with particular attention being paid to Inter’s clash against Torino tonight and Juventus’ travels up to Bergamo to face Atalanta. Furthermore, both Napoli and Milan are going through a crisis period and a victory tonight for either team could see one of them start to turn their season around.

If the Bianconeri fail to beat Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta tonight, the report continues, then Inter can leapfrog the Turin based side to rise to first place, assuming they best Torino. Former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku is hoping to continue his strong form in the league, currently sitting at a record of nine goals in 12 games, and tonight’s clash against the Granata could be the game that Lukaku helps Inter return to the top of the league table.
