Inter defender Stefan De Vrij, who scored the Nerazzurri’s second goal in their 3-0 win over Torino last night, discussed the game in an interview with Italian broadcaster SportMediaset.

“We played well, we were good at getting ahead at the first chance, from there things became easier. It’s very important to have won, success is deserved.”

The Nerazzurri are now sitting on 34 points in the league after 13 games, with Inter coach Antonio Conte guiding the club to 11 wins in their first 13 games, a record that goes back to the 1950/51 season. The Milanese side are still one point behind rivals and league leaders Juventus, who handed the Nerazzurri their only loss of the season so far in October in the first Derby d’Italia of the season.

De Vrij has continued to show why he is one of the best defenders in Italy this season, with his strong defensive performances helping the Nerazzurri continue their strong form.
