Speaking as part of Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s show Sky Calcio Club, former Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso has shared his thoughts on how Inter are doing after their 3-0 win over Torino on Saturday.

“The team creates chances, perhaps not too often but what they do create puts them in a position score. They are doing an extraordinary job,” Cambiasso began.

“In this situation, I would like to underline the work that they do at the back. Handanovic only makes one save per game but the one he makes is decisive. The central defenders are very solid and as a result, Inter never suffers.”

Cambiasso then spoke on Borja Valero, who made his first league appearance of the season as he replaced Nicolo Barella, who was forced to leave the field due to injury.

“It won’t have been easy to have felt part of the team when on the outskirts of it but in the end, the only way you can show what you are about is by doing well when you come on.

“He played for half an hour and on another day he could play more. Conte already knew he could count on him and that Borja would be there ready. I am very happy for him because he has been sitting there waiting for his chance.”
