Inter are deep into negotiations with Atalanta for 19-year-old Swedish midfielder Dejan Kulusevski, according to a report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

The report details how the Nerazzurri’s management are working hard to secure a deal for the 19-year-old talent, with the goal of signing him next summer.

The deal for Kulusevski could be completed in the next few weeks, allowing Inter to focus on more pressing transfer matters, as the club need to strengthen their midfield in the upcoming January transfer window as well.

Whilst the Nerazzurri would be happy to sign Kulusevski in January, a deal that soon seems almost impossible. This is because the Swede is on loan at Parma, who are incredibly keen to retain the player until next summer due to his importance to the squad and consistently strong performances.

Furthermore, he will be able to develop more with Parma this season as he earns more and more first team minutes, which he may struggle for at Inter when Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella recover.
