Inter have now upped their asking price for striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa to no less than €40 million according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
The Nerazzurri had previously been seeking around €20 million but have now doubled their demands after the 23-year-old’s double fired loan club Flamengo on to Copa Libertadores glory at the weekend.
As per many reports in the media as of late, Inter and Flamengo had a deal in principle over him but now Inter are looking to sell him to clubs in either England or Spain, who have more financial power than Flamengo.
The report goes on to state that Gabigol’s presumed sale will help Inter toward their January transfer market ambitions.
Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud is the current favourite to bolster Inter’s attacking department and appears pretty unrivalled at the moment whilst there are a number of names to have been linked when it comes to the midfield with Rodrigo de Paul, Alfred Duncan, Alessandro Florenzi and Dejan Kulusevski among others, all linked.
