Following Inter Primavera’s 4-1 defeat to Slavia Prague in the UEFA Youth League, Inter midfielder Tibo Persyn shared his thoughts on the game in an interview with FCInterNews.it.
“We went 1-0 up and but then after that we found ourselves in trouble, it was difficult to get back into the game, they played well, they wanted to win, everything became more difficult after conceding their first goal,” he began.
“We are still first in the group so this result has changed nothing. There is still one game to play and it is the most important one as it is against Barcelona and we must win it.”
He was then asked if he thinks he and his teammates were caught off guard by their Slavia Prague counterparts: “You must always expect to face a strong team. You have to play your game and try to win.”
In conclusion, he was asked what manager Armando Madonna told the team after the match.
“He did not tell us anything. We played how he told us too but the match went how it did.”
