Many comparisons between Inter strike partnership Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez to other partnerships have been made in recent days and Alessandro Altobelli is the latest to make a comparison.

“They remind me of Christian Vieri and Ronaldo,” Altobelli, who spent 11 years with Inter between 1977 and 1988, explained in an interview with Italian newspaper La Repubblica.

“Comparing the Belgian and Bobo is not blasphemy. Lukaku plays with his back to goal and finds the back of the net with ease. As for the Lautaro comparisons to Il Fenomeno Ronaldo, today only Lionel Messi is better than Lautaro Martinez. Inter must not sell Lautaro for anything less than €250 million, he is better than Neymar.”

26-year-old Lukaku and 22-year-old Lautaro have struck up a solid partnership this season and have netted a very impressive 22 goals between them across all competitions to date, a feat very few other partnerships across Europe come close to.
