Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim has shared his delight with how loan striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa has performed and reiterated the Brazilian giants desire to keep a hold of him.
“We are really happy, we have just achieved a very historic and important double and we can only be satisfied and proud of this. Winning the Copa Libertadores 24 hours before winning the league title was truly magnificent,” Landim began an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.
“We are very happy with Gabigol and his performances. He has been invaluable to the team this season due to the goals he has scored, the assists he has provided and his general play.
“We are interested in keeping him and have already let Inter know. Negotiations between the two clubs are underway but we cannot talk about details. What I can tell you is that we are obviously very happy with the contribution that Gabigol has given us.”
