Football intermediary Yvan Le Mee has revealed that Inter will soon make an offer to Napoli star Dries Mertens in an interview with French news outlet Le Phoceen.

“I proposed Mertens to Marseille last Summer because he has a release clause of €28 million. Today, he would certainly cost less as he only has six months left on his contract but Marseille should forget about him as Inter will offer him €4 million per year. I do not see Marseille paying out another salary as big as Kevin Strootman’s.”

Inter have drawn many links to the Belgian international attacker as of late due to his expiring contract status as they look to strengthen their midfield deparment.

The 32-year-old has been on the Partenopei’s books since 2013 and has made 299 competitive appearances across all competitions to date.

This season the former PSV Eindhoven man has made 17 appearances across all competitions. In 1179 minutes on the park he has scored eight goals and provided two assists.
