Boubakary Soumare is the latest player Inter are thinking about as a possible signing ahead of the January transfer window according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

The 20-year-old central midfielder is currently on the books of Ligue 1 outfit Lille and has made 18 appearances across all competitions for them this season, primarily as a defensive midfielder.

The Frenchman, who has two caps at under 21 level, joins a long line of players that Inter are reportedly taking a look at as they look to strengthen their midfield for the second half of the season and beyond.

Fiorentina’s Gaetano Castrovilli, Atalanta’s Dejan Kulusevski, who is currently out on loan at Parma and Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul have all been heavily linked to the Nerazzurri.

Deals for Castrovilli and Kulusevski are expected to be particularly hard for the Nerazzurri to achieve in January which is why they are looking at Soumare at de Paul.

Castrovilli has only recently signed a new long-term contract with La Viola whilst Parma would have to agree to cancel Kulusevski’s loan six months early for the Swedish youngster to join Inter.
