Gonzalo Goni, the agent of Lucas Martinez Quarta, has confirmed that his client could move to a club in Europe in January amid links to Inter.

“We will try our best to give priority to the best project over the best financial option. I will not take him to the first club in Europe to make money. Lucas has a European passport and River Plate have to sell and that is why I think it is possible that he could go to Europe in January,” he remarked in an interview with Argentine news outlet Infobae.

Recent reports have suggested that Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti has already met with Goni among the others who represent the 23-year-old central defender to discuss the possibility of a move to Inter.

Martinez Quarta has made 24 appearances across all competitions for the Argentine giants this season, who he is under contract with until the end of next season.
