Inter are taking a close look at Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang amid continued interest from elsewhere in striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb.

22-year-old Argentine international Martinez has been in stellar form this season and it has went far from unnoticed with it widely reported in the media as of late that Barcelona have taken a keen interest in signing him.

With this in mind, Inter are taking precautionary measures by seeking out potential replacements in the event that Barcelona come in with an offer that they quite simply cannot refuse.

Aubameyang is one such player. The 30-year-old Gabon international, who was recently named Arsenal captain, has been in similarly good form to Martinez this season having netted 10 goals in 16 appearances across all competitions to date.

Aubameyang, who is a one-time African footballer of the year award winner, has been with the north London club since January 2018 and can boast a record of 51 goals in 81 games for the Gunners.
