Former Inter coach Mircea Lucescu, who led the Nerazzurri in the 1998/99 season, discussed Antonio Conte’s Inter squad in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia today, at the Euro 2020 draw in Bucharest.

“I like this Inter. I’m convinced that the Champions League will help them a lot in the final battle for the title against Juventus. There is a balanced team, there are experienced players but also young players, a team that plays, runs, slams but also has a high technical booklet. They’re a team that play offensive football, necessary to win the league. I’m sure they’ll do well this year.”

The Nerazzurri are currently second in the league after 13 games, with a record of 11 wins, one draw and one loss. They are only one point behind rivals and reigning champions Juventus, who are still undefeated this season in the league. The Nerazzurri have scored 29 goals so far this season, six more than the Bianconeri.
