Former Inter defender Riccardo Ferri discussed Inter striker Romelu Lukaku in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Deejay today.

“How do you stop Lukaku? If you’re looking for a physical encounter, you’re already having problems. He’s a player who has to try to anticipate, not to start, not to turn. He has strength and ability in a one on one to jump, when he moves at you, he keeps the ball attached to his foot, you can’t touch it. He’s very difficult to mark.”

The 26-year-old Belgian striker, who joined Inter from Manchester United last summer, has settled incredibly well with the Nerazzurri. He has already scored 11 goals and provided two assists in 17 appearances for the Milanese club so far this season, forming a formidable partnership with Lautaro Martinez.

He is also the second highest goal scorer in the league, only behind Lazio’s Ciro Immobile. 65% of his 31 shots have been on target, and he is two goals ahead of the third place Luis Muriel.
