Inter coach Antonio Conte won’t change the squad too much for today’s league clash against SPAL, partly due to a lack of alternatives across the board, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how Italian midfielder Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella, two stars of the Nerazzurri’s campaign this season, are both unavailable due to injuries, forcing Conte to line up a slightly weaker midfield trio. Alongside Marcelo Brozovic there will be Matias Vecino, as well as a return for Roberto Gagliardini.
Up front the dangerous partnership of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez are sure to start, the report highlights, due to their incredible goal scoring record when playing together, as well as a lack of true back-up for either player.
In defence Milan Skriniar will line up again, despite being slightly overdue for a rest, the report continues. He will play alongside Alessandro Bastoni, who is covering for the rested veteran Diego Godin, with Stefan De Vrij set to play in the centre of the trio. Finally, in the wing-back positions, Cristiano Biraghi and Valentino Lazaro are expected to start.
Probabile Inter (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Milan Skriniar, Stefan De Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Valentino Lazaro, Matias Vecino, Marcelo Brozovic, Roberto Gagliardini, Cristiano Biraghi; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez.
