Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi is still injured and may not even be fit in time for the Nerazzurri’s key Champions League clash against Barcelona later this month, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the 24-year-old Italian midfielder, who suffered a tear in his abductor muscle against Juventus at the start of October, is still not fit and is unlikely to play against either Roma or Barcelona over the next two weeks. The Milanese club are going to rely on a specialist to work with the player and help his rehabilitation.
Inter are keen to ensure that the injury isn’t exacerbated by a rushed recovery period, the report highlights, and therefore will only look to deploy him against either Fiorentina or Genoa later this month if they believe he is fully fit. If signals suggest that Sensi isn’t fully fit, then the Nerazzurri will wait until after the winter break before deploying him again.
