Today is another key day in the league for both Juventus and Inter, as both clubs host provincial sides at home as they look to continue their winning streaks. A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport analysed the Nerazzurri’s opponents, SPAL.
The report details how the Nerazzurri haven’t lost to SPAL in their 14 league meetings, winning 11 and drawing 3. Furthermore, 26-year-old Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku has scored more goals this season in the league, ten, than the Ferrara based club, who have scored eight. However, SPAL forward Andrea Petagna is the likely source of danger from SPAL, as the Italian has scored four goals so far this season, although he has never scored against Inter.
Furthermore, another cause for concern is SPAL’s 29-year-old Italian striker Alberto Paloschi, who has scored two goals against the Milanese side in his last three appearances against them. Despite the small dangers, the Biancazzurri are currently 19th in the league after 13 games, only winning twice so far this season. Despite the Nerazzurri’s busy schedule, the victories against Torino and Slavia Prague will surely motivate the squad again today.
