Belgium coach Roberto Martinez discussed Inter striker Romelu Lukaku to gathered reporters at yesterday’s Euro 2020 group stage draw, with Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb gathering his words.

Martinez wasn’t surprised by the strong start Lukaku has made with the Nerazzurri.

“It doesn’t surprise me. We know him well, it’s nice to see him score at Inter like with the national team. In Milan he found excellent team-mates and a great coach like Antonio Conte.”

The 26-year-old Belgian striker has formed a formidable partnership with Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, with the duo forming a core part of Conte’s tactical system. So far this season the former Manchester United forward has scored 11 goals and provided two assists in 17 appearances across all competitions for the Milanese club.

This goal tally is almost higher than the one he attained with the Red Devils last season, where he scored 15 goals across 45 appearances for the Manchester based club.
