Matias Vecino has sang the praises of on-form teammate Lautaro Martinez and urged him to keep up his fine goalscoring form.
“I think trust is the most important thing for a player. Now he feels very strong and important and is proving it, he just needs to continue like this,” he remarked in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.
Lautaro netted a brace for the second consecutive match as he proved decisive yesterday as Inter ran out 2-1 winners over SPAL, a result which enabled Inter to hop above arch-rivals Juventus and go top of the Serie A standings.
The 22-year-old has become an almost guaranteed starter in Antonio Conte’s team this season and has certainly repaid Conte for the faith shown in him by scoring 13 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions.
The Argentine international’s form has not gone unnoticed with several media outlets as of late linking him with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona.
