Gustavo Goni, the agent of Lucas Martinez Quarta, has confirmed that he has held no talks whatsoever with Inter over his client whilst sharing views on the Nerazzurri club.

“He is a modern central defender in that he is very quick and aggressive when marking. He is equipped with good technique and also jumps very well which allows him to score when he goes forward and to also get the better of his opponents when defending,” he began an interview with FCInterNews.it.

“He has a €22 million release clause in his contract. We did not meet with Javier Zanetti at the Copa Libertradores final nor have we spoken about him at all. I have not officially spoken with anyone from Inter. Although, from what I have read, it seems that they may be interested in him.”

He was then asked for his thoughts on Inter and whether he thinks his client could fit in.

“Inter are a historic club. One of the most powerful in Europe. Every player dreams of playing in a team like that.

“Is he ready? He has played two consecutive Copa Libertadores finals as a starter. He is used to pressure and competition. Let’s see what offers that will arrive on the table. Lucas is very well at River and he must not move for the sake of it. Let’s see what happens, anything can happen.”
