Legendary Italian manager Arrigo Sacchi has praised Antonio Conte for the work he has carried out since taking charge at Inter over the Summer.

Conte has his Nerazzurri side flying high with them currently occupying top spot in Serie A and also in control of their Champions League destiny heading into their final group stage match.

“Antonio is doing a great job. He has given Inter a game plan and there is very high cohesion. He has got rid of players who are unsuitable for their skills or professional behaviour and has assumed a certain responsibility,” Sacchi explained in an interview with Milanese newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Managers who are more strategical than tactical must have an influence on transfer targets in order to get the players most suitable for their style of play otherwise they would be like a film producer who hires great comedians for the wrong genre of film.”
