Arturo Vidal continues to top Inter manager Antonio Conte’s list of preferences for midfield reinforcements in the January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
Conte worked together with the Chilean international at Juventus and wishes to be reunited with the 32-year-old, who has fallen down the pecking order at Barcelona.
The player has spoken openly on his future as of late and admitted that he will consider a move elsewhere if things do not change for him in the short term.
Relations between Vidal and manager Ernesto Valverde have broken down and should Vidal push for a move away it will be difficult for Barcelona to stop him and equally as difficult for them to continue to demand €40 million for him.
If Barcelona are to open themselves up to the idea of a loan move or significantly reduce their asking price, Inter could move for him. If not, they could go after Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul.
