Roberto Gagliardini is doubtful for Inter’s Serie A match at home to Roma on Friday as he continues to struggle with injury according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.
During Sunday’s 2-1 win over SPAL the Italian central midfielder appeared to roll his ankle and had to be substituted off. He is expected to undergo testing today at Inter’s training ground to determine the extent of the injury.
The 25-year-old is the latest midfielder to sustain an injury with Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella both all out currently nursing injuries of their own.
Sensi, as per other reports in the media, is not expected to make a return to action at least until after the winter break concludes. The 24-year-old has been struggling with an injury for a good few weeks now.
Barella on the other hand appears to be showing signs of improvement already and is now off of crutches having had surgery on his injury.
