Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku have ensured that Inter have not missed Mauro Icardi this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Icardi left the club this past Summer as he joined Paris Saint Germain on a season long loan. The Argentine can boast a goal tally of 124 goals in 219 competitive appearances for Inter and there were fears that neither Lautaro nor Lukaku could replicate his goal scoring.

The duo have however combined for 24 goals in Inter’s first 19 games this season with Lautaro having grabbed 13 of those and Lukaku having scored the other 11.

Lautaro has taken his game to another level this season compared to last so much so that Barcelona are seemingly interested in signing him as the long-term replacement to Luis Suarez.

Lukaku has proved himself as dominant and dispelled the many doubts that people had about him following his relatively poor season for Manchester United last term.
