Marco Tronchetti Provera, the chief executive of Inter’s main shirt sponsor Pirelli, has confirmed that the company will continue to have a relationship with the club amid reports that Inter could get a new shirt sponsor.
Firstly however, Tronchetti Provera spoke on what Antonio Conte has managed so far in his tenure in charge of the club.
“The work that Conte has done is extraordinary,” he began an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.
“He is motivating and giving the team a style with players that are performing outside expectations and with some players even exploding such as Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku. Conte is the face of success and commitment. Conte’s face unites the great personal commitment that then leads to success.
“When I see the precision of certain passages of play by Lukaku and the speed and execution of Martinez, I start dreaming again.”
Next he was asked if he thinks Inter can pick up some silverware this season: “Week by week if the team continues to do what they have been doing then they can achieve success.
In conclusion he was asked about Pirelli’s contract with Inter as main sponsors which expires at the end of next season: “We will maintain a relationship with Inter, it remains to be seen what that relationship will look like.”
