Inter will sell Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa to Flamengo on a permanent basis for a sum of €20 million according to a report from Brazilian news outlet UOL Esporte.

The 23-year-old striker has been with the Rio de Janeiro based club since the beginning of the year on loan and made a significant contribution as they won both the Brazilian Serie A and Copa Libertadores. A historic treble is also on the cards with Flamengo due to participate in the Club World Cup in the coming weeks.

Gabigol, who joined Inter for circa €30 million back in 2016 from Santos, has scored a sensational 42 goals in 54 appearances across all competitions and the move now rests in his hands.

The player has been very quiet on his future and has reportedly told those involved in the deal that he will not make a decision until after the Club World Cup is over, which has led to suggestions in the media that he may be holding out for offers to arrive from Europe.
