According to Sky Sport Italia journalist Angelo Mangiante, it is unlikely that Alessandro Florenzi will leave Roma in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Italian defender has fallen down the pecking order at the club since Paulo Fonseca came in as the new manager, this despite the fact he is the captain of the Giallorossi.
The 28-year-old, who is under contract until the end of the 2022/23 season, has drawn links to several clubs in recent weeks and months due to his current playing situation with Inter, Sampdoria and Fiorentina among those clubs.
In his report, Mangiante states that it is far more viable that Florenzi will depart the capital city club come the end of the season.
Florenzi, who has spent almost his entire career with Roma, has been limited to just 10 appearances across all competitions this season and has found himself increasingly not getting off of the substitutes bench in the past month or two.
