Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta spoke with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia prior to kick-off in the match between Inter and Roma.

“We are very calm in facing opponent after an opponent with the knowledge that we are doing our best. The performance is more important than the result at this stage and we need to be consistent. We are happy with what is behind us and our growth path has led us to the top. We want to continue on this path” he started.

Next he spoke on the fast approaching January transfer window.

“We are not in an anxious situation. We will approach the transfer window in the knowledge that the team has fully responded to what we have asked of them and to Conte’s methods.

“We are happy as the work culture is very strong. We want to seize opportunities but they must be better than what we already have, which is a team with players of very high quality.”
