Inter met with the representatives of Alessandro Bastoni yesterday afternoon to hold talks over a new and improved contract according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The club have been left impressed by what the 20-year-old centre back has shown when called upon this season and are ready to not double, not treble but quadruple his current paypacket from €300,000 to €1.2 million a season.

He is currently under contract with the club until the end of the 2022/23 season and Inter hope to extend the expiry date until the end of the following season therefore meaning he will be contract until June 30 2024.

An initial agreement was reached and a few details need to be ironed out before the contract renewal of the former Atalanta defender can be made official.

The Italian youth international has made six appearances across all competitions this season for the Nerazzurri and has appeared unfazed by the occasion as he has performed well in each appearance.
