Romelu Lukaku could miss tonight’s match against Roma having come down with the flu last night according to a report from Italian radio station Radio Radio.
Inter manager Antonio Conte will have to evaluate the condition of the Belgian striker in the lead up to the game which is scheduled to kick off at 20:45 local time.
The Belgian striker has been absolutely pivotal in Inter’s early season success having netted 11 goals in 18 appearances across all competitions since his club record transfer arrival from Manchester United during the Summer.
Should Lukaku be ruled out due to illness, he will become the latest player to join the injury list of the Nerazzurri which already contains midfield trio Roberto Gagliardini, Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella as well as fellow attacker and ex-Manchester United teammate Alexis Sanchez.
If Lukaku is out, it could well see Sebastiano Esposito a chance to get his first start if Conte sticks with the 3-5-2 system that he has used throughout the season.
