Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti has shared his delight at the success of an event run by his Pupi foundation that took place at San Siro last night.

“It was a beautiful evening dedicated to all the people who participate, collaborate and are always close to us,” he began an interview with Inter’s in house channel Inter TV.

“We are at our home in San Siro, a beautiful location and a place where I really feel at home. The project initially helped 40 children, today we help more than 1000 people and we are opening a new project 500 km from Buenos Aires. We want to replicate what we do through sport, education and health: we are delighted with the results.”

Zanetti and his wife Paula Zanetti set up the foundation back in 2001. Not only is the foundation’s ‘Pupi’ name the nickname of the Argentine but also an acronym for ‘Por un piberío integrado’ which translates in English to ‘For an integrated childhood.’
