Inter are already at the peak of their powers according to a report in today’s print edition of Milanese newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri currently find themselves in top spot in Serie A after 14 games played and are also on the brink of progressing to the knockout stages of the competition.

“Conte started from the foundations. Inter’s purchase of Godin was programmatic. Inter were a team full of fear and first of all needed added safety and a further sense of protection. Godin was brought in to further secure the defence which already contained de Vrij, Skriniar and Handanovic,” the report begins.

“Conte worked hard with Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku and the pair have blew up this season in attack. Inter currently cannot do any more to improve and just have to drag themselves to the winter window before they can.”

Inter are widely expected to make moves in the January transfer window in order to allow them to keep up what they have been doing this season with there having been no shortage of links to other players.
