Inter have made signing Lautaro Martinez to a new contract a priority but they will not rush negotiations for the sake of it according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 22-year-old striker has been on fire this season having netted 13 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions and is also making an impact for the Argentine national team too.

His form has went far from unnoticed and has led to several clubs, including Spanish giants Barcelona, sparking an interest in signing him in the future and his €111 million release clause is only looking further enticing to clubs the more he succeeds on the field.

Inter management met with his representatives yesterday to hold talks over a well deserved new and improved deal for him and Inter are currently calm on the matter and even more so given the player recently called the club his ‘home’.
