Roma striker Edin Dzeko trained with the rest of his teammates earlier on today ahead of tonight’s match away to Inter according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.
The Bosnian international has been a serious doubt for the match due to suffering from a high fever for the past few days and it now remains to be seen whether Roma manager Paulo Fonseca will start him from the beginning of the match at San Siro or not.
Reports in the media lately had suggested that if Dzeko did not make the game, attacking midfielders Nicolo Zaniolo or Henrikh Mkhitaryan would have been deployed as an unorthodox striker against the Nerazzurri.
Dzeko’s recovery will come as a huge boost to the Giallorossi due to the fact he is their top scorer this season having scored eight goals in 18 appearances across all competitions.
Tonight’s game pits first place Inter against fifth placed Roma and kick off is scheduled for 20:45 local time.
