Edin Dzeko is still struggling with fever-like symptoms and the best he can hope for at this stage is to make the bench for Roma’s match against Inter tonight according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.
The Bosnian, who is the Giallorossi’s top scorer this season, has been struggling for the past few days and may get 20 or 30 minutes at the end of the match if he is to make the bench if he is really needed. His condition will be monitored right up until kick-off at San Siro.
With Dzeko doubtful, Roma manager Paulo Fonseca will be forced into re-thinking his team and could opt to deploy Italian youngster Nicolo Zaniolo, who is primarily an attacking midfielder, upfront.
