Former Inter defender Antonio Paganin discussed the Nerazzurri’s disappointing goalless draw against Roma yesterday and whether it will affect the team’s confidence in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Sportiva this morning.

“All Inter missed was the goal. The Nerazzurri had many opportunities, thanks also to some mistakes made by Roma. It’s difficult not to have scored, but there was a good team like the Giallorossi against us.”

The 53-year-old Italian then touched on whether it will affect the team’s mindset ahead of next week’s vital Champions League clash against Barcelona.

“Conte will certainly say no, but yesterday’s match was the middle step in or out of the Champions League, even unconsciously the thought was there.”

Finally, Paganin discussed Inter target Alessandro Florenzi, who briefly appeared in last night’s clash.

“I don’t think that Fonseca has targeted him and that there is a project against him. In Italy, football is simply very physical, and he pays a heavy price in this respect in the coach’s evaluations.”
